This statement is true. Although a lot of the information is right, the only thing that wa slighty off wa the perectage of toys that get sold in the U.S from china. Its around 85 to 90%. From the article that I found it was proven that toys are manufacured in china and sold in the U.S. "The New York Times published an April 27 report that showed 76% of "toys and puzzles" and 87% of "Christmas decorations" come from China. Bloomberg, citing the trade organization Toy Association, said "roughly 80% of toys sold in the U.S. are made in China."

Data show 73% to 78% of toy imports and 85% to 90% of Christmas-related imports in 2024 came from China, supporting Blow’s point that the vast majority of these goods come from China. We rate his statement True."

This claim is ultimately true sharing that very clearly, US does rely predominately on China for mainly holidays and special celebrations. The source states hard evidence explaining that Chinese manufacturers play a significant tole in the U.S. market and the function of society, without being honored. Without the honor, this has created tension expressing the vulnerability of the supply chain, promoting negative discussion towards the potential impact of consumers and retailers. With the analysis, the source also backs up this statement with hard data explaining the reliance of China: "the Observatory of Economic Complexity indicated that about 73.3% of the $41 billion in the US imports of toys, games and sports equipment in 2024 came from China". This sources hard evidence that helps prove the realness of this issue and the occurrence of it being a present economic issue. The source comes from an interview from CNN from a scholarly journalist that is obviously a reliable source, if hired as a reporter by as big of a company as CNN. CNN is a credible news worthy source that touches on political, economic and trendy matters in the current world, and is credited enough to be a trusted source to be "1 of the top 5 best news sources seen on national television", told by there website. They interviewed a researcher, DR. Philip, PhD, that had devoted his life work to the pattern of America's current economic system. Telling from the well known source and scholarly intelligent people involved, this information and source can be found credible.

Other sources prove the reliance on China manufacturers for toys and holidays goods has significant implications due to the U.S. retailers and consumers, especially in the context of trade tensions and tariffs. An article written by CBS explains that tariffs has " increased within there supply chain", leading to higher cost and potential shortages. They used the example that "US tariffs on Chinese imports were raised to 145%, severely impacting businesses" that specifically depend on Chinese-made toys and decorations. US businesses have had to start diversifying that supply chain, but still shows to fail there progression, and still rely on Chinese Suppliers for toys and holiday merchandise.

In all, China produces the majority of toys and Christmas goods sold in the U.S. is well supported by trade data and industry reports.

This claim is true, however, the statistics are slightly different depending on the source that was used. According to The Toy Association, nearly 80% of toys sold in the U.S. are sourced from China. Additionally, China is the world's leading exporter of Christmas decorations, accounting for approximately 90% of global exports in this category. These numbers show just how much the U.S. relies on China for toys and holiday products. However, the exact percentages can change over time due to things like trade policies, shifts in manufacturing, or changes in the global supply chain.

Yes, it's accurate to say that China makes around 80% of all toys and about 90% of Christmas goods sold in the U.S. These numbers highlight how much the U.S. relies on Chinese manufacturing, especially for consumer products that are seasonal or low-cost to produce at scale. China's factories, especially in cities like Yiwu, are set up to handle mass production efficiently and cheaply, which is why companies continue to source from there.
