While I won't discredit or prove this claim false, the opening sentence in the article you linked states that it is a "satirical conspiracy theory."

This claim seems to be satirical since the actual website you got your information from says that it is making a satirical claim. The author quoted in this article, "a spontaneous joke".

There truly is not much to say about this claim. First of all it is just false. The article cited for this persons claim is a link to a wikipedia on the fact this claim is a "satirical conspiracy theory." Meaning the source itself says that this claim is false. In the end this claim has zero credibility and is easy to debunk that it is false.

This claim is false, due to clicking on the source and the first sentence stating the claim is satire and a conspiracy theory. According to hub.jhu.edu, the "birds aren't real" conspiracy started in 2017 when a college student wrote the statement on a piece of cardboard in support of Donald Trump, to take away from a woman's march in Nashville, Tennessee. This claim can be classified as both false and satire.
