Can't be true or false. This appears to be a personal opinion. It is worth noting that gender can be defined as biological, social, or cultural. Biological sex is usually categorized as male or female. Whereas, gender is has a spectrum of identifications, such as nonbinary, genderqueer, agender, etc.

This can't be deemed true or false because to some people there are only 2 genders. You are either born female or male. But as you grow as a person you are able to change your identity to something that fits you. And nobody can take that away from you.

Hi juliannichol! I'm curious if you have any sources to back your claim that some people believe there are only two genders? It seems as though you are giving an opinion for other people as there is no solid research or research to back this claim.
Another things to note is how the answer given by zenyogi differentiates gender and sex, and how it then influences the perspective on how people view the amount of genders that exist.

Even though this could be a good answer, there weren't any sources to back up what you had said. I do agree on how this could be opinion-based depending on how someone sees it. There are many sources to back up whether this is true or not, but if you were able to include these sources, this would make this answer more reliable and not like it is opinion-based. I do agree with how biologically there are only two genders, but I wished you were able to expand more on how there is a spectrum of identifications for gender. Does this mean it ties to your identity? How does someone know what is on this spectrum, and who's to say when there is or isn't more than 2 genders?

Hi juliannichol, I see where you are coming from but is there anywhere you got this information from? You mention sex, you can only be born male or female, but is there anywhere you got the information backing up your claim as to as you grow as a person, you are able to change your identity? It seems a bit more opinionated if there are no factual evidence supporting the claim you are making

I agree with your definition of gender as spectrum influenced by social, biological, or cultural aspects, but it is untrue that sex is only categorized as male and female (2 genders). Many people are born intersex, meaning they have physical chromosomal, genital, organ, hormone differences that do not fit into the categories of male and female naturally at birth. In fact, there are 30 defined intersex variations, such as Klinefelter syndrome (XXY chromosomes), Ovotested (possesing both ovarian and testicular tissue) and 5-delta reductase deficiency (testosterone metabolism differences often leading to unidentifiable genitals at birth) to name a few. These people are biologically neither of the biological "2 genders" and may or may not identify with the social "2 genders". https://www.healthline.com/health/transgender/types-of-intersex#types-of-variations
