This claim is exaggerated, but essentially refers to the brand Lesser Evil, carried by Thrive Market. It was exposed that the CEO Charles Coristine is father to Edward Coristine who is a 19 year old member of the government organization “DOGE” (Department Of Governmental Efficiency) headed by Elon Musk. This calls for a boycott of Lesser Evil products, voting with your dollar is a popular way to express an opinion about a business’s practices, however, there isn’t evidence that this will affect the Department itself. Edward Coristine, who goes by the handle “Big Balls” online and does not have prior government experience is one of the newly appointed members of DOGE. DOGE is controversial because it is run by Elon Musk, who is a blatant Nazi sympathizer, and pushes policies who actively discriminate against minorities. DOGE’s goal is to cut federal government programs, however, as none of the members are qualified and the government programs, like Medicare and USAID, have been relied on by many people for their livelihoods, it is seen as a sign of our governments fascist shift.

This is a very informative fact check. You link a lot of sources and went into deep research to figure out what exactly the claim is referencing and the reality of the situation. The articles you used are known news sources that cover the story well. You also clearly lay out how the information contradicts the claim.

This fact check is incredibly informative. It is well structured and worded very nicely. I like how you referenced proper, well dated sources (and a lot of them) and went into detail about how they relate to your claim. The background information you gave at the beginning was helpful for extra context.
