This is an opinion and additionally labors under the assumption that everyone follows the same religion or any religion at all.

The idea that religion should always come before politics and that democracy is overrated is a viewpoint that undermines the importance of individual rights. In democratic societies, the separation of church and state ensures that all individuals, regardless of their religion, are treated equally under the law. Also, the U.S. Constitution emphasizes religious freedom and the right to participate in government, regardless of one's faith.

I completely agree with your point. Putting religion above politics can be a problem because it may exclude people with different beliefs and limit individual freedoms. A key strength of democracy is that it represents all perspectives, allowing people of any religion or none to take part in government.

This statement is subjective because the value of democracy and the role of religion in politics vary across cultures, historical contexts, and individual beliefs. A separation of church and state is maintained by some countries, which emphasize democracy as a system that represents a range of opinions, while other societies place a higher priority on religion in administration. Plus, it is impossible to generally assert that religion always comes before politics because political systems change depending on historical, economic, and social reasons.

This article emphasizes that the relationship between religion and politics is influenced by context rather than a universal fact by examining how religion affects politics but does not necessarily lead to it.
