I cannot believe how hard I am rooting for France to help Germany get the bomb right now.

My ancestors would be so profoundly confused — and disturbed.

Yes, this is an opinionated statement above, exactly as you mention leading into what someone wants out of a cause. There is a some articles talking about the statement if the one who posted this statement or even anyone else would like to read a little more into the meaning of this opinion.

This is not a fact - it is an opinion. The link you included is to a Twitter post with the same text.

When starting out this fact check I looked at who was posting the content and found that the person is a part of a podcast and post mainly about their personal opinions on political views. The post is an opinion that has no claims to back up the statement. There is also a bit of irony in the statement when they are rooting for Germany to have the "bomb." I did find some articles that talk about how France is thinking about extending their nuclear umbrella.
