Located on the official United States Holocaust Museum Memorial website there is a subsection with the title of "What Caused the Holocaust?"  The article then states that there were many factors "including millions of individual decisions made by ordinary people who chose to actively participate in—or at least tolerate—the persecution and murder of their neighbors." With that being said under "Why the Jews" they say that "After World War I, the new Nazi Party and its leader, Adolf Hitler, blamed Jews for Germany’s defeat." However the Nazi party was the main party responsible and with the groups leader being Adolf Hitler calling the shots it would be a very fair assessment to say that Adolf Hitler had the biggest role in the Holocaust and hatred towards Jews and therefore did advocate for the killing of other races.

On a less biased website it states that "Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be an inferior race of people, who set out to weaken other races and take over the world." Under that is says "The Nazis’ implemented antisemitic laws, which persecuted and oppressed Jews, and eventually led to their deportation and mass murder" This quote aids the fact that Hitler is one of the biggest people to blame for the Holocaust as the leader of the party that did an incredible amount of damage.

I thought the response given was very clear and used good sources, The 2nd source is a credible account that goes deep into the history of the holocaust. The only reason theholocuastexplained was created was to give an unbiased source to the history of the holocaust. The use of connecting Hitlers belifs and the actions of the nazis creates a strong argument against the original post.

You did a great job using credible sources, especially the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, to show that Hitler played a major role in the Holocaust. I also liked that you brought in another reliable site to support the same conclusion. One thing that could make your factcheck even stronger is using Hitler’s own words from Mein Kampf or his speeches. He clearly expressed antisemitic views and goals, and quoting him directly would make it harder to deny his responsibility.

I would also suggest being careful when calling one source “less biased.” Both of your sources are trustworthy and based on strong historical research. Finally, you could add a quick response to the claim that Hitler “collaborated with other races.” That’s a big distortion, since his policies targeted many groups for persecution, including Jews, Roma, Slavs, and Black people. Addressing that would help round out your argument.

I think your answer is very clear and reliable. You provided detailed explanations to the matters that were thought to be self-evident, supported by two credible sources. Using several sources strengthens the claim, becoming more persuasive.
