The answer is yes, over the last year we have seen dramatic decrease in Tesla vehicles sold and a increase in Tesla's vandalized and used Tesla's being added to market. Throughout this past election Musk has made it clear where he stands and has supported Trump donating massive amounts of money. These opinions have not only affected him within our Nation but also globally. In Europe the Model Y dropped 56% in registrations and the Model 3 fell 14% these results seem to be common and the future for Tesla is in the air.

Primarily, the answers from most people, in short words, are Yes! It seems that those who used to be in favor of Tesla are now shifting after sudden movements from Elon Musk, who is closely affiliated with the Tesla company. According to the sources, Democrats lost interest in the company after Elon Musk had partnered with President Donald Trump. According to the article, Tesla's sales had taken a decline, along with the stock price of Tesla, since the inauguration. Though with the divison of the U.S, it could also mean that those in support of Elon mean an increase in purchasing Tesla.

I think he is.  As evidence suggests his actions have contributed to the company’s recent decline, though broader market issues also play a role. In the first quarter of 2025, Tesla’s vehicle registrations in California fell by 15.1%, and its share of the state’s EV market dropped from 55.5% to 43.9%, according to Business Insider (2025). Globally, deliveries declined by 13%, the sharpest drop in nearly three years (Reuters, 2025). These losses have been partly linked to Musk’s political activities, including his role in the Trump administration, which sparked consumer backlash and organized boycotts. For example, Tesla’s sales in Germany plummeted by 76.3%, a decline widely attributed to political controversy surrounding Musk (AS, 2025). However, analysts also point to other factors, such as a lack of innovation in Tesla’s product line and increased competition from newer EV brands (Business Insider, 2025). Thus, while Musk’s influence has negatively impacted Tesla’s image and sales, he is not solely responsible for the company’s challenges.

I think the downfall of Tesla heavily lies on Elon Musk and his decisions publicly. His role in President trumps presidency has had huge amounts of backlash for the company. Leading to protests, and people appeal Tesla's. As well as people changing the branding on their Tesla's to Honda, or Toyota to boycott Tesla's. As well as cybertrucks losing value on the market dropping 10%.
