We do not know their source, biases, or any other factors that may have influenced this claim. Additionally, this claim is extremely broad and has no specific factors. "No Americans have been deported," has no information. Deported from when or where? There have been countless cases of Americans being deported from other countries per Statista.

For the sake of this argument, we can even look at a specific location in the USA, which I assume is the idea behind this claim even though the user did not specify. According to PBS News, ICS deported three children who have been confirmed to be US citizens just this year (2025)!

Your claim that no American citizens have been deported can be seen as true and untrue. While there are multiple instances of kids being “deported” alongside their mothers, there is more to that headline than meets the eye. What the headline doesn’t say is that most, if not all situations where a US citizen was deported was in the case that they were children who’s parents were in the country illegally and requested to have their kids taken with them rather than splitting the families apart and only deporting the mother. The problem with this whole argument is that there is no winning. People were upset when families were being split up because illegal immigrants tried to have a kid here and still ended up being deported. Trump is now telling people “Okay, we won’t split the families apart, however the mother is still being deported, as she should because she is in the country illegally, so if she requests they go with her then so be it, and people are still upset that they don’t get their due process in court, yet in Trumps first term of presidency, there was a case where two children of illegal immigrants were put in front of a judge and given their due process, and there was STILL outrage at the fact that they did not understand what was going on and they were separated from their families. There is no winning, because we can not let illegals immigrants stay in the country just because they thought they could have a kid in the US. That is a loophole they try and use to get past he law, which is what has led to Trump trying to change the birthrights of kids parented by immigrants. They truly brought this upon themselves by taking advantage of the system.

Ice deported 3 children who are U.S. citizens. When the parents got arrested they were given virtually not time to speak with a lawyer and they sent there kids ages 2,4, and 7 with them. This is a complete abuse of power and this claim is very clearly false

Despite having no criminal record and regularly checking in with immigration authorities as required, he was suddenly detained during a routine visit with ICE in 2017 and later deported under the Trump administration’s mass deportation policies. At the time, he was suffering from a serious hip condition and was misled into believing he was being taken to a medical appointment, only to find himself shackled and placed on a plane to Mauritania—a country where Black citizens like him face a high risk of abuse and death. After arriving, Goura was forced to flee to neighboring Senegal due to the threat he faced, and he now lives there, separated from his family and in deteriorating health. His daughters in the U.S. have struggled with poverty, housing insecurity, and emotional trauma in his absence. This claim is misleading and false.

The misleading part of this claim is saying "Americans" are getting deported. The people who are getting deported are undocumented immigrants coming from other countries, most often Mexico. The National Immigrant Justice Center claimed that it's only immigrants getting deported, not Americans. The reason people say "Americans are getting deported" is because they have been in America for a while, not having a mass deportation threat by the president. Now with Trump making this threat this is why more immigrants are getting deported. So I disagree with the claim that it's Americans that are getting deported.

Although the bsky.app isn't a reputable source,  the userbuzzstryker.bsky.social's claim is made in response to video of a Homeland Security hearing. The examiner and Kristi Noem disagree over whether any Americans have been deported, sparking the debate. 

On Homeland Security's government website, they address instances where mothers of children were deported and emphasize that they chose to bring their children, who are American citizens, to Honduras. 

This makes the situation of the children who left the country as a result of deportations a grey area and up for debate within our government.

Research into this claim immediately provides cases in which this happens, such as a case where an undocumented Honduran mother was deported to Honduras along with her 4 and 7 year old children according to PBS News. Both children were born in the United States, granting them citizenship while still being deported. Many other cases similar to this one can be found. The claim is also quite open to interpretation, as classifying someone as American can have several different meanings. It does not state that no American citizens have been deported, which further harms the claim as it does not give any framework for who can be considered an American.
