The post that this claim refers to is about Hasan Piker's story of getting detained by ICE because of what is assumed to be his political statements on the internet, as the article referenced states, "asked a series of questions that led to him eventually asking “Do you support Hamas?” He was also asked about the Houthis and Hezbollah."(Kabas, 2025). Hasan himself has become a very controversial internet figure as of late because of his political speech, despite this however there is no evidence from the main source referenced or other articles that have covered this that mention or evidence that Hasan is or has been an extremist from this specific event. It is a fact that Hasan is controversial and maybe extremist to some, however it is an opinion of this user and cannot be claimed as true or false due to its subjective nature.

In a post the Bluesky user @jewishwonk says that Twitch streamer HasanAbi (Hasan Piker) is an extremist. The message doesn't give a whole lot of proof if any, but other personalities and organizations have said similar things. Piker's controversial remarks mostly the ones about racism and the Israel and Palestine war have been and are being covered by sites like Jewish Insider, Mediaite, and StopAntisemitism.org. He has also been criticized by Congressman Ritchie Torres and others.

Though most would agree with you I presume, there is no quotes stated that back this claim. In order to say this is without a doubt true, you would need to link a post of his or something that he has reposted. Good work on finding 3 different sources that do correspond to the claim though.

How did you figure out that it is true? What evidence did you present to support the fact-check? Also, how did you determine whether these sources are not biased?

The claim above comes from a post from the social media platform Bluesky referring to political commentator / Twitch streamer Hasan Piker. The user,@jewishwonk.bsky.social, in the post is responding to a post relating to Piker's recent claims over him being detained by TSA Officers at O'Hare International Airport. Piker just this past week has spoken about how he believes his detainment had to do with his political commentary about President Trump, where he claims to have been questioned whether he publicly speaks negatively about the current administration. Department of Homeland Security assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin responded that his claims were over political scrutiny were baseless. Though Piker openly presents his more left-winged political views on a public platform, it is an opinion of the publisher of this post that he is a political extremist, not a distinguishable fact.
