« #Pallywood in action. Here they are rehearsing lines in the car between takes.

Roughly 90% of the “Gaza footage” is either staged, scripted, or lifted straight from Yemen and Syria. »

⚠️ No one denies Gaza’s wartime misery — but the “famine” narrative is clearly manufactured.

For more context, this is similar to another Gaza-famine-related claim.

There are other videos floating around social media that supposedly show children in Gaza "rehearsing" crying for food. It's the same playbook as accusations made by German magazines—ones Snopes debunked—which claimed a photographer was staging photos of starving Gazans. Significantly, these rehearsal videos have not been reported by any credible news organizations, appearing only on social media platforms as far as I can tell.

The broader argument that starvation is not occurring in Gaza contradicts assessments from major international organizations. The IPC (Integrated Food Security Phase Classification) issued a stark warning in July 2025:

The worst-case scenario of Famine is currently playing out in the Gaza Strip. Conflict and displacement have intensified, and access to food and other essential items and services has plummeted to unprecedented levels. Mounting evidence shows that widespread starvation, malnutrition, and disease are driving a rise in hunger-related deaths. Latest data indicates that Famine thresholds have been reached for food consumption in most of the Gaza Strip and for acute malnutrition in Gaza City.

This assessment is echoed by sources like The World Food Programme, the New York Times, and Reuters.

There is no credible information to confirm that this claim is true. While Israeli officials have released footage of food markets and accused Hamas of manipulating aid and spreading false narratives, multiple independent sources have reported severe hunger and famine-like conditions in Gaza. Food prices have skyrocketed, and over 175 people, including children, have died from starvation-related causes. This is considered a crisis, not "staged" or "scripted."
