Crimea, like Dosbas & Lugansk, are predominantly ethnic Russians. They were part of Russia until Kruschev connected them to the Ukriane for admiistrative reasons.  The US created the nazi coup in 2014 and the Crimea immediately begged for the protection of Russia.  They had a vote and
