The “edited” picture just included what the real tattoos represented or code.  The criminal is still a criminal.  He is a wife beater and a human trafficker.

Abrego Garcia has indeed been federally charged with human trafficking, according to Forbes and other sources. NPR reports that "The government accused him of transporting migrants without legal status from Texas to other parts of the U.S. for years, starting in 2016. He pleaded not guilty on June 13. He's also been accused of being a member of the MS-13 gang, allegations he denies."

His trial in the human trafficking case was scheduled to begin on January 27, 2027, according to ABC News.

As for the "wife beater" allegation, the DHS revealed in a press release that Abrego Garcia's wife filed for protection against him in 2020:

"According to the petition filed by Jennifer Vasquez on August 3, 2020, in the District Court of Maryland for Prince George's County, Garcia verbally abused her, kicked her, slapped her, shoved her, mentally abused her kids, locking them in their bedroom while they cried, and detained Vasquez against her will."

While the evidence of domestic abuse is fairly damning, the human trafficking charges remain unproven pending trial.
