Pornhub owner Aylo will pay a $5 million settlement to the FTC and Utah over allegations that the company knowingly profited off of illegal materials.

This is true, according to the FTC's press release on the settlement. In it, Christopher Mufarrige (Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection) says, "Pornhub’s operators turned a blind eye to the proliferation of videos depicting the sexual abuse of children on its sites so it could profit off this exploitation”.

The Utah Division of Consumer Protection had much the same to say, adding that their "practices were specifically alleged to have violated the Utah Consumer Sales Practices Act (Utah Code § 13-11-1 et seq)."
