There is no justifiable evidence supporting the claim that Hungarian American billionaire George Soros funds domestic terrorist groups using personal wealth or that of another.

Soros, a careered hedge fund manager with a network of roughly $7.5 billion, uses a majority of his personal wealth funding a variety of NGOS, often through his own Open Society Foundations or (OSF). Many non-profit subsidiaries of the OSF, from EU reunification efforts to left leaning Journalism watchdog projects. (see European Movement UK and MMfA.)

Soros also has a major part to play in funding liberal super PACs and think tanks, using capital to influence politics in favor of special interests. This report by CNBC describes Soros' own non-profit quietly moving $140 million to interest groups a year before mid terms.

This being said, No financial report or credible source supports the claim of Soros funding domestic terrorist groups. The accusation is almost definitely based in anti left rhetoric, labeling any of said projects that do not support Trumps agenda as a terrorist effort.

Furthermore, all links provided by the original poster lead to the remains of forums and reply chains, those of which have since been erased. This further points to the shady nature of the original claim.

On top of that, this Reuters article further displays the White Houses aggression towards movements that stand in opposition to the Trump administrations agenda. A spokesperson of OSF stated to reporters, "Neither George Soros nor the Open Society Foundations fund protests, condone violence, or foment it in any way. Claims to the contrary are false."

Whether posted by a domestic individual, international agitator, or online bot, this claim serves to further stretch the divide, and insight anger towards the left.
