Recently close up pictures of Donald Trump's ear, which was (supposedly) shot during an assassination attempt, were published which showed no scar or trace of such an injury. I saw claims on Reddit that there was no scar because he was never shot at all; these claims said the shot to the ear was faked.

This claim is false. While it’s true that when Donald Trump removed his bandage there appeared to be little to no visible damage, with a strong emphasis on appeared, there is evidence confirming that he was, in fact, struck by a bullet grazing his ear. Although the severity of the injury may have been exaggerated in some accounts, completely denying that the incident occurred would be highly inaccurate. Numerous major and reputable news outlets, representing a wide range of political perspectives, reported consistently on the events of July 13th, all agreeing that Trump sustained a minor gunshot wound to his ear during the assassination attempt. Also, the FBI conducted a thorough investigation, collecting credible forensic evidence, eyewitness testimony, and video analysis that verified the trajectory of the bullet and its contact with Trump. The agency later released detailed findings to the public, reinforcing that the injury was real and that the event was not fabricated. The claim that “Donald trump was never actually shot in the ear” from the reddit source also never added any sources to back up this claim, only seemingly relying on their personal interpretation of events, which carries inherent bias.
