This claim is true. On the 3rd of November 2025, 60 Minutes posted an interview on YouTube featuring current President Donald Trump discussing multiple current issues in America. One of the issues discussed was the current ICE raids. During this segment of the interview, Trump is asked, “Have some of these raids gone too far?"– a reference to the aggressive tactics currently used by ICE agents. He then responds with “No, I think they haven’t gone far enough because we’ve been held back by the… liberal judges that were put in by Biden and Obama.” Overall, Trump did indeed say that he believes that ICE has not gone far enough in terms of deportation and detention methods.

This claim is true. In a 60 Minutes interview posted on YouTube, when asked if Trump believed that some of the recent ICE raids had gone too far, he responded "No, I think they haven't gone far enough..." When questioned further if he supported the tactics of ICE officers that many have criticized for being too violent and extreme, he stated "Yeah, because you have to get people out." (60 Minutes).

These comments in the interview posted by 60 Minutes were later reported on my several news networks, including Fox News, CBS, and USA Today. All three articles quote both of those statements, all in agreement that Trump said them.

Based on available reporting and the primary source, the claim that President Donald Trump stated in a 60 Minutes interview that he believes ICE raids "haven't gone far enough" is true.

When asked during the interview if he believed some recent ICE raids had gone too far, Trump explicitly responded, "No, I think they haven't gone far enough." He attributed this to being "held back" by judges appointed during previous administrations. When pressed further on whether he supported the specific tactics used by ICE officers—tactics that have been criticized as aggressive—Trump affirmed his support, stating, "Yeah, because you have to get people out."

This exchange from the 60 Minutes interview, which was posted on YouTube, has been corroborated by multiple news organizations, including CBS News, USA Today, and Fox News, all of which quote these specific statements.

The claim that President Trump told 60 minutes he thinks ICE hasn’t gone far enough is true. On November 3, 2025 President Trump did an interview with the news channel 60 Minutes where he discussed various topics from healthcare, the government shutdown, nuclear testing and more but when asked the question “Has some of the raids gone too far?” In regards to ICE raids and the excessive force used when detaining individuals, he replied with “No, I think they haven’t gone far enough because we’ve been held back by the… liberal judges that were put in by Biden and Obama.” As the interview continued, he was questioned further and asked if he supported the tactics of ICE officers that many have criticized for being too violent and extreme, he said "Yeah, because you have to get people out." So yes, President Trump did say that the raids haven’t gone far enough.

This claim is true. In Trump's first interview with 60 minutes in 5 years he stated, that ICE raids "have not gone far enough" as they are being "held back"... "by the liberal judges". After the interviewer asked him his thoughts on a woman being shoved to the ground in a courthouse by an ICE agent, using tear gas in Chicago neighborhoods, and smashing car windows. This interview can be watched on YouTube and was reported on by CBS, Fox News, and USA Today.
