The Louvre Museum heist has been investigated going on 16 days. Authorities have managed to track down four suspects and give them two charges regarding the robbery. The stolen jewels still have yet to be recovered and are worth about $102 million. There is even thought to be another key suspect that is still on the run and the authorities have not been able to track them down.

Investigators now have to scour all possible avenues of where the jewels could be or could've been sold through. The jewels must be recovered as quick as possible before they are dismantled into smaller stones and distributed, and there is a very real possibility that this has already happened.

The claim that four suspects have been charged in the Louvre Museum heist while the stolen jewels remain missing is true as of November 11, 2025. According to the Associated Press, four individuals have been handed preliminary charges and jailed in connection with the October 2025 robbery, in which thieves stole approximately $102 million worth of crown jewels from the Louvre’s Galerie d’Apollon. Authorities confirmed that the jewels have not been recovered, and one suspect believed to be the fourth member of the so-called “commando team” remains at large. The AP also reports that investigators are searching for whoever might have ordered the crime. This aligns with ABC News and The Guardian, which both state that the jewels are still missing, four suspects have been charged, and the heist involved an organized group that used a lift truck to access the museum. Experts warn that the stolen jewels could be broken apart or sold if not quickly recovered. Overall, the evidence overwhelmingly supports the claim’s accuracy, with the only caution being that the “16 days” timeline cited in the post was specific to the date of the ABC News report, not the current investigation length.

The news source you used, abcnews.com, is highly credible. Mediabiasfactcheck.com rates it as highly plausible, though it shows a slight left-center bias; its factual reporting is high. I found a similar article on cnn.com that supports your claim that the Louvre jewels are still missing. It also states that there were 9 stolen items and that the thieves left on motorcycles. CNN uses several quotes from the police about the investigation.

This claim is true, although one of nine items the thieves attempted to steal was recovered after it was dropped outside the building. The suspects have been identified and are facing legal action, according to the New York Times, "Two detained men alleged to have participated in the spectacular heist at the Louvre museum earlier this month have 'partially admitted' to the jewel theft and face 15 years in prison if found guilty of the crime". Aside from the one item that was left at the scene, all of the "the jewelry is nowhere to be found", making this claim accurate.
