Millie Bobby Brown was about to film Stranger Things season 5 with David Harbour. She and David have been filming Stranger Things since Millie was 11; now Millie is 21. David describes they're relationship as "father-daughter." In interviews, David and Millie said, "We get angry at each other." The claim has not been seen as true or false. David and Millie's relationship has been seen as a heartfelt thing.

David has seen Millie grow up during the show and after the show. He is very fond of their friendship. David and Millie have not talked about this yet. In recent press, they have been supporting each other. (People)

Think of this as your investigation log. Answer each question to explain what you discovered and how you got there.

1. Write a brief overall summary of your findings.
2. What primary sources did you find (e.g., transcripts, videos of politician speeches, tweets from public figures, scientific studies)? For each source, write at least one or two sentences explaining what you learned. Include all links.
3. What secondary sources did you find (e.g., newspapers, magazines)? Only use secondary sources if sufficient primary sources are not available. For each source, write at least one or two sentences explaining what you learned. Include all links.
4. What potential biases or interests might each of your sources have?
5. What evidence supports the claim you are fact-checking?
6. What evidence undermines the claim you are fact-checking?
7. What happened when you tried contacting the person or group who made the original claim? (Always try to contact them—it’s okay if you don’t get a reply. For example, if the claim is that the president said something, try reaching out to the administration. If it was a Bluesky user, message that user on Bluesky.)

I found that this case is true and that the allegations were not false to begin with. After doing more research, I found that Millie Bobby Brown has claimed to have felt safe with David Harbour, stating that they had a father-daughter relationship on and off of the Stranger Things set. Potential biases that these sources may have include liking the show Stranger Things and seeing that their relationship has always been like this. This can lead to downplaying the situation, finding it typical to have these kinds of interactions with cast members.

In an article posted by Buzzfeed, I found that Millie and David have rekindled their friendship even after Millie had made these claims, which makes the original claim seem to be exaggerated and blown out of proportion. I also found that the allegations that she had made towards him were about his anger, which she had claimed had been happening throughout the whole filming process for Stranger Things. The evidence I found to support my claim includes an article published by NewsNation, which has quotes from Millie Bobby Brown claiming that she has shut down these rumors about David's bullying and harassment. She says, "I really am excited for everyone to see the labor of love and hard work we've put into the closure of our relationship and what that looks like, and to give some of the fans," which sounds promising in the sense that this original claim is misleading. After trying to contact the creator of this claim, I did not receive a response.
