Not sure https://bsky.app/profile/data.ft.com/post/3mh5ojjbvzn2o was the best source for your claim and a stronger claim can be made by simply looking at the facts of recent global tensions.  Altought the war in Iran is impactful on peoples fear, the real stem of global, inflation fear is because of rising import costs. A better source would be https://www.cnbc.com/2026/03/27/markets-see-the-feds-next-move-as-a-potential-hike-as-oil-prices-inflation-fears-rise.html .

I see your point about import costs driving inflation, and I agree they’re a big factor. But I think the Iran conflict still plays a meaningful role because it directly affects oil prices, which in turn increase import and production costs globally. Using a source like CNBC is good for context, but I’d argue combining both the geopolitical factor and the import cost data gives a fuller picture of why inflation fears are rising.

Mostly True. The Iran conflict has raised global inflation concerns because higher oil and energy prices increase costs for transportation, food, and goods (cost-push inflation). While the effect is real, it may be temporary depending on how long the conflict lasts. Reliable sources reporting this include the Financial Times https://www.ft.com/content/d4f1c4a8-ed5f-4f2a-8b70-436b93f9052b?

and Axios https://www.axios.com/2026/04/07/us-consumers-inflation-iran-war?

True
