The claim was originally posted by RT News, a Russian news outlet with journalists in Lebanon. The original article is titled "‘Deliberate attack’: RT correspondent recounts surviving Israeli airstrike" and features a video of the incident. The video is of RT journalist Steve Sweeney, filmed by his cameraman Ali Rida Sbeity and shows the journalist reporting on recent action in Lebanon when he suddenly ducks for cover after hearing a missile coming towards him. We then see a missile striking the ground close behind him and the camera falls to the ground. The article also shows a video filmed by Sbeity showing shrapnel being removed from Sweeney's arm by doctors.

While one might call into question the legitimacy of the video since it is posted by RT and the video is of RT employees, other legitimate sources have verified the videos authenticity. BBC posted an article titled "Missile lands next to presenter during live report from Lebanon", also featuring the video. The article claims "The BBC has verified the footage." but does not explain how they verified it or who they spoke to. After the article published by the BBC, Deadline posted an article citing the verification "The footage, which has been verified by outlets including the BBC, shows the missile landing and Sweeney hitting the deck in a shower of shrapnel before uttering expletives.".

The deliberateness of the attack on the journalists is difficult to determine without a statement from Israel, but that is not the claim that is being checked in this post.
