I agree with this statement that keeping yourself busy throughout the day with work and hobbies, having a nice balance can help a person's wellbeing. Having hobbies is a distraction from reality and allowing you to relax. However, this doesn't guarantee for all individuals since hobbies tend to be temporary for many people or doesn't help them enough to have a happy healthy lifestyle. This claim needs a bit more research and have more evidence to support the statement as this does have potential just needs more work.

Yes I believe that having hobbies dose make you happier. In the article "Having hobbies is tied to happiness and our wellbeing." by Harvard Health Publishing, they state that yes, hobbies have been proven to increase serotonin in ones brain causing people who do have hobbies to be happier then the average people without them, They had people who have hobbies vs how don't fill out a questionnaires and then they tallied all the results from it. This study proved that the people who had hobbies had overall better moods and a better life.

It has been proven time and time again that having hobbies will ultimately improve a persons mental health. An article written and published to Harvard Health Publishing describes a group of 5 combined studies done to test the health and well-being of over 93,000 people across 16 countries, and the results were relatively the same across all countries. People were found to have fewer mental health problems like depression, and reported higher life satisfaction. In an article published to life health network mentions that people who engage in hobbies enjoy better moods, feel more interested, and have lower heart rates on average. Overall, having hobbies will give your mind something to focus on and will ultimately lead to a happier, healthier lifestyle.

I completely agree with this statement based on my experience. A hobby can be like a temporary getaway, giving a person's mind a break from the stresses of daily life. It can make one's life happier and moreenjoyable even for a brief moment each day. Additionally, this statement has been said by very credible source Harvard, a verywell-known school in the entire world.

According to WebMD, a reliable health source, "keeping yourself engaged during your leisure time lowers your stress levels," and additionally, "if your hobby involves physical activity, it'll lead to reduced stress and a lower blood pressure and heart rate."

Another source, Harvard Health Publishing, also agrees. They mentioned a study by Nature Medicine where they periodically surveyed participants about their well-being and they noted that, "compared with people who didn't have hobbies, those who did reported better health, more happiness, fewer symptoms of depression, and higher life satisfaction."

Many studies have shown that having hobbies can generally make an individual happier. A study from Harvard health compared people with hobbies to people without hobbies, and those with hobbies reported better health and fewer symptoms of depression. It didn't necessarily matter what hobbies people had, but just that they had hobbies. Having something outside of work, school, and other activities to enjoy yourself is very important for health, especially mental health.
