I know protestors were at the Oscars but, did it delay it? cause I thought it started earlier this year compared to others.

This is true, although it was only for about five minutes. According to the New York Times, the LA Times, the Guardian, the Hollywood Reporter and other various news sites, videos, and photos, hundreds of protestors were in the area during the Oscars. The protest created a roadblock that caused traffic and prevented many celebrities from getting closer to the entrance. This meant many celebrities had to walk a couple extra feet. Despite all of the commotion, the delay only amounted to a little more than five minutes. Also, the Oscars did start an hour earlier than usual (at 4 p.m. instead of 5 p.m.).

This was a good fact-check, you included multiple sources that show that the Oscars was indeed held up by protesters.
