This is a false claim because there were no other reports about the Patriots draft pick until their actual selection. The report has no basis of anyone in the Patriots organization claiming they were thinking of drafting a different position than a quarterback. When the draft did happen last week, the Patriots selected quarterback, Drake Maye, out of the University of North Carolina. The post was made by a Raiders fan who was hoping to get a quarterback with their pick later in the first round of the NFL Draft.

This is not true. The New England Patriots picked QB, Drake Maye, from UNC. This can be found on many trustworthy sports news sites, such as ESPN. There are also many articles confirming the pick.

This is absolutely false. The New England Patriots drafted North Carolina QB Drake Maye with the 3rd selection. This ESPN article goes in-depth into as to how the franchise made the decision.

This is false. The Patriots have selected Joe Milton III in the 2024 draft as their quarterback.
