This claim is not only false, but extremely exaggerated. The heritage foundation's tweet is not stating that they will attack trans people or content, they are simply saying that they will make efforts to not display it to children. Furthermore, the KOSA bill itself does not state anything about LGBTQ+ websites or content being targeted. According to Congress.gov, covered platforms must "disclose specified information, including details regarding the use of personalized recommendation systems and individual-specific advertising to minors; allow parents, guardians, minors, and schools to report certain harms; refrain from facilitating advertising of age-restricted products or services (e.g., tobacco and gambling) to minors; and annually report on foreseeable risks of harm to minors from using the platform." It also states that the bill exempts internet service providers, email services, educational institutions, and other specified entities from the requirements." Also, according to Richard Blumenthal, the senator who sponsored the bill itself, the KOSA would "provide explicit protections for services (ex. National Suicide Hotline, substance abuse organizations, or LGBTQ youth centers)."
