Bob Woodward, the associate editor of the Washington Post, is the author of the book and he is a pretty trusted source that has written a number of famous books widely accepted as being true (such as Fear, War, and the Trump Tapes).

I like how you added onto the claim with another article that falls in line with the original claim. I think this is a great way to go about fact checking. I also think that this is a truthful claim from a solid source.
