This is true. The FCC released a statement on Thursday 10/10/2024 quoting Rosendale's (the Chairwoman of the FCC) response to calls to revoke broadcast licenses and she explicitly denounces trumps actions stating "While repeated attacks against broadcast stations by the former President may now be familiar, these threats against free speech are serious and should not be ignored." This is also not the first time she has responded to Trump's call to remove a broadcasting station license, as seen in a statement released on 10/8/2024 where the target was ABC.
