The TMZ  article https://www.tmz.com/2024/10/08/love-island-usa-hannah-smith-arrest-threatening-kill-cop/ mentions her being arrested and taken to jail.   Arrest records are public record, did you try to see if there was an arrest record?  This would clarify the truthfulness of the story.

Other sources (USA TODAY are reporting on this as well, including the charges Hannah was given and also mentioned that she punched an emergency services person while they were attempting to detain her.
