Hi Brittany. While the article does connect to the claim, TMZ is not always the most reliable source for accurate details and information and not known to be the most ethical.

While your information is right, TMZ is a sketchy source. They're a tabloid news site with a history of lying not limited to JFK being alive (https://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/celebrity/tmz-falls-jfk-photo-hoax) and celberties dying while still being alive. I think your comment could be helped if you used a more reliable source than TMZ, while sometimes correct they are known to have flawed or just incorrect answers.

The TMZ  article https://www.tmz.com/2024/10/08/love-island-usa-hannah-smith-arrest-threatening-kill-cop/ mentions her being arrested and taken to jail.   Arrest records are public record, did you try to see if there was an arrest record?  This would clarify the truthfulness of the story.

Hi Brittany, TMZ isn't exactly the most reliable source and it could benefit for you if you looked around and see if any other stories reported on the issue. A brief google source shows that NBC also reported on the issue and maybe in the future you could look deeper into the claim being made and where the source is coming from. I hope this helps!

Hannah was arrested and charged actually for threatening to kill a cop and his sister. The report linked here cites the police report from the incident as a source. Other sources (USA TODAY are reporting on this as well, including the charges Hannah was given and also mentioned that she punched an emergency services person while they were attempting to detain her. This claim is true.

'Love Island USA: Season 6' personality Hannah Smith had been arrested for expressing disorderly conduct at a concert at the Coca-Cola Roxy on September 30th, and according to Fox 5 Atlanta and she was seen trying to punch an officer helping her get into an Uber. She was then charged with 2 felonies of obstructing an enforcement officer and terroristic behavior. Although this report is by Fox 5 News, the information provided may be not completely reliable due to information being received from TMZ, which can sometimes be known to be an unreliable source that fabricates information.

This article from NBC claims that Hannah Smith from the show Love Island was accused of threatening to kill a cop. This is true, she was actually arrested and charged with two felonies; terroristic threats and felony enforcement of a law enforcement officer. The news source NBC is a major network that is typically reliable, and they got most of the provided information directly from the police report. Many other major news sources have also reported the same incident, such as USA Today (https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2024/10/09/hannah-smith-love-island-usa-arrest/75588065007/) and New York Daily News (https://www.nydailynews.com/2024/10/08/hannah-smith-love-island-arrested-cobb-county-jail/).
