2026 4-star DL Tomuhini Topui was just in Eugene Oregon for a school visit during the No.2 Ohio State game against the No.3 Oregon Ducks. After watching the outcome of the game he decided to commit to the University of Oregon to play D1 as a member of their football team in the 2026 recruiting class. He chose Oregon over other competing schools such as UCLA and USC, saying "I love everything I’m seeing...They’re playing good teams and their defense is just popping off, especially that front seven."

This is true as Tomuhini Topui has confirmed this on their social media @TomuTopui52. Topui is a 4 star recruit from Mater Dei in Santa Ana California. He originally told Hayes Fawcett of On3Recruits who posted about in on social media and Topui later confirmed by quote retweeting two emojis of a house, implying that the University of Oregon is where his next home will be.
