The website you sited seems to have a lot of good reasons as to why dressing according to your mood can affect your dopamine levels and it comes from a reliable source so I believe it! From the source I've found, it says that there hasn't been a ton of research and tests put into this theory but people have seen a lot of different behavioral responses so this claim is most likely the truth. This claim is true. The colors you surround yourself with can have a major impact on their psyche, and historically, colors have been used to heal. For example, red is associated with feeling grounded and safe, orange with emotion and creativity and indigo with intuition, she says. I was skepitcal about having certain textures can be tied to memories, but this is actually true according to the link below. The link included is a section in a textbook called Fashion Theory, which i think can very closely relate to this claim.

This is a good fact check, but I find the article's lack of statistical or quantifiable information to be concerning and in need of expansion. As was made clear in the article there is a lot of subjectivity and variation in how people feel about different colors or textures, as it has a lot to do with childhood and memory. However, a study or examination of how this psychology can be observed scientifically would benefit you in fact checking this claim. Though I was skeptical of this claim because of the lack of qualified sources, it has proven to be true by almost every other commentary blog I used for research. Brighter colors can help release dopamine--the hormone that makes you feel happy-- and helps boost self-esteem. In a similar way, certain colors are associated with positive emotions; yellow is associated with happiness, green with serenity and balance, and pink with love.

The article 'Dopamine Dressing: How to Happiness' by Lo Styx is talking about how dressing in certain things that include textures you like, or colors that are more vibrant are more likely to boost one's mood. I agree with this statement because often if I am not wearing something that makes me feel good and confident my mood and the way I act and go about my day will be completely altered, "For many people, the colors they surround themselves with can have a major impact on their psyche, and historically, colors have been used to heal", this quote from the article is stating that what you surround yourself is what will heal you. Another example I correlate with this is how music can also have a big hold on one's mood and alter how they feel.
