Due to the E. Coli outbreak this year, McDonald's is no longer a safe option for dining.

The article linked states that McDonalds quarter pounders were the main problem in the e-coli breakout. Testing from the Colorado Department of Agriculture proved that the patties were in fact not the source for this. The silvered onions are now in question as the source. It is still safe to eat there as McDonalds will resume selling quarter pounders without the onions until those have been tested as well.

Good job the original post was very misleading. Also, good job for clarifying that it was the onions and not the actual patties. Furthermore, a New York Times article as of to days ago verified that it was the onions and not the beef patties.

Good job on your fact-check! I agree with this statement, the onions were proven to be the source of the E-Coli in the McDonalds restaurant chain with cases being seen across Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. With one death reported in Colorado this sparked worry in many, this caused McDonalds to remove their quarter-pounder off their menu as to not lose customers. Recently they have notified the public that it is back on the menu without the E-Coli carrying onions.

So you would rate the claim as false? It's unclear. Always clearly mention it within the fact-check and select a rating next time. Thanks!
