This claim is mostly true. The quarter pounders have been tested negative for E. coli, and will be making a comeback in stores shortly, but uncertainties about the quarter pounders' onions being the potential culprit of the outbreak have led to a retraction of them from the marketplace. So, quarter pounders will be back on McDonald's menus, but without their usual onions indefinitely.

Furthermore, the original source used in this report is credible as it utilizes information found by the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service) to determine that the beef in quarter pounders is safe, but it also doesn't mention anything further on the onions as a potential source of the outbreak.

I really appreciate your detailed explanation about how the quarter pounders and whether or not they are to blame for the E. Coli breakout. I do think that you could've used a better source than Yahoo news like the CDC's or FDA's report on this.
