The article's source was a video taken by a fan outside of the college gameday show. I did some research and found out that Jason Kelce was actually at college gameday and watched the video which does show Kelce throwing a fans phone in response to his brother being called a homophobic slur.

This is true. Multiple videos and angles show Jason Kelce slapping someone's phone out of their hand after they called his brother the F-slur. The following article I found on Yahoo goes into detail on the sequence of events that took place.

Hey Criddle, this is the truth. The claim that Jason Kelce threw a fan's phone is undeniably true, thanks to the strength of the source at our disposal. There is a blatant video of this action happening, although the audio is slightly unclear in confirming whether or not what a fan said to Jason was a slur, he without a shadow of a doubt did commit the action of throwing the phone, so we can confirm that portion is true at the very least. Nice job.

This is true. It is claimed that Jason Kelce was present for a football game this weekend where a Penn State student followed Kelce and yelled at him. The student yelled and called Jasons brother, Travis, a slur for dating popular artist Taylor Swift. This is true because Jason kelce was in fact present at college gameday for that game. There are also multiple reports as well as video evidence of the incident happening. The claim was that Jason Kelce former eagles football player, threw a fans Phone to the ground after the fan called his brother a homophobic slur. According to the articles and videos online Jason Kelce admitted to smashing the phone. He also stated the fan did indeed call his brother a homophobic slur, which promoted him to break the phone.

This is true. Kelce became involved in an incident after he reportedly confronted a college football fan who used a homophobic slur directed at his brother, Travis Kelce. The fan was recording Jason Kelce, and, in response to the slur, Kelce allegedly took and smashed the person’s phone. https://people.com/jason-kelce-smashes-fans-phone-after-they-call-travis-homophobic-slur-8738785

There is nothing necessarily untrue about the article posted by Microsoft News, however, I believe it is misleading because it includes information that is unnecessary and exaggerated. The source video of the incident was posted on TMZ which is a tabloid known for spreading celebrity gossip. The altercation between Jason Kelce and the other attendee of the ESPN GameDay was between them and the slur directed towards his brother; the use of another celebrity's name in an article that has nothing to do with them is simply for the additional sensationalization. While the main claim in this article is true, I feel as though it is oversimplified to state that a tabloid coverage is entirely truthful.

Your fact check is well written and thorough in your belief that instead of it being true or false you put it as misleading or exaggerated because the sorce used for this clam is most known for spreading celebrity gossip and drama. Also how you stated that the use of another celebrity name was used for additional senationalization was a really good thing to point out.

This is true. In the article that you provided there is a video that shows a fan calling Jason Kelce's brother a slur for dating Taylor Swift, then we hear a crack which is presumably the phone being thrown into the ground. To corroborate this evidence there is an artice by NBC  in which they say, "Kelce then appears to turn around, grab the man’s phone, smash it to the ground, pick it up again and walk away." This is clear evidence that this did happen.

With multiple videos taken of the situation and lots of articles covering what happened, Jason Kielce did indeed throw someone's phone on the ground after calling his brother, Travis Kielce, the F-slur for dating Taylor Swift. According to a few articles, this happened at a Penn State football game and the fans followed Jason and recorded him walking away from the crowded area and then shouted "Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a "f slur"  for dating Taylor Swift?" The videos have circulated on X or old twitter and spread around the internet quickly as the game day proceeded.

This claim is accurate. Multiple reports and strong evidence confirms that former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce attended a football game this weekend, where a Penn State student followed him and shouted slurs. The student used a derogatory term for Jason’s brother, Travis, in reference to his relationship with pop star Taylor Swift. This incident is substantiated by multiple reports and video footage, showing Jason Kelce’s presence at the College GameDay event for that game.
