Though this article is a self-proclaimed opinion piece, I'm curious about the extent to which the claims made are factual and/or grounded in accurate information about voting.

This article is indeed true. I learned more about the topic. It’s hard for college students to vote in their own state. Because there’s been laws put in place and it makes it harder to vote. There are various steps to vote. You have to make sure you can get your ballot sent to you then vote, and then send it back and you have to do it as early as possible. If not, your ballot won’t be counted.

Although I don't disagree with you that it is harder to vote by mail as a college student (especially out of state), I would double-check that the steps you listed are correct. Your first claim about getting your ballot sent to you appears to be correct, but I don't think you have to send it back to the original location in order for it to be counted - at least not in Oregon. According to the State of Oregon website, you can drop your ballot at any drop-off location.
