Elon Musk has a portable Internet router called Starlink. Many votes were cast while using this technology. Elon Musk also strongly wanted Trump to win, so many people are saying that he rigged the election as it was very lopsided, which is very different than the predictions.

There is no credible evidence to support the claim that the 2024 Presidential election was fixed in favor of the Republican Party. This year's Presidential Election was heavily monitored for signs of fraud, and no significant evidence has been found. The claim discussed in this article originated from a Tik Tok video by user @etheria77, which has since been circulated around the internet. While Elon Musk does have control of Starlink technology, it was not used to influence the election, and the decrease in Democratic votes from 2020 to 2024 was simply due to lower voter turnout.

Some more context about why you chose this source and how it proves/disproves this claim would be nice.
Reading your source, I learned that many election officials were closely monitoring the election this year, and that every state has independent vote counting systems, but I wonder if there is something about this source that stood out to you as more reliable? Thanks!

I do agree with you that there was no credible evidence to support this claim! I also like how you chose a source that explains the question most people were wondering which is why there were so much fewer votes but I would like to see a source that directly disproves the claim that he did rig the election!

Thank you for pointing out where this rumor was started and how it began to spread, as well as including the real reason for the republican success in the election, instead of just stating that this claim is false and not explaining why it happened.

This is more than likely just a conspiracy theory that has become semi-popular, as there is zero evidence to back this claim up. The main person claiming this that they mention in that article is just some random left-wing TikToker who has no evidence to corroborate that this occurred. There are many conspiracies floating around the Internet that claim that the election was rigged and it seems like this is just another one of them. That being said the election did happen very recently, so even if there was foul play, it would take much longer to investigate it and come to any sort of conclusion.

While I do agree with your analysis that there is no evidence that points to Starlink stealing the election I do wonder why you used the source that you used? I found an MSN article that uses social media posts and factchecking to dispute that claim.
