This is seemingly true! After doing some research I found that healthline.com states, "Cinnamon may help lower blood sugar

Trusted Source

by imitating the effects of insulin, helping to move sugar from the bloodstream and into your cells. It can also increase your insulin sensitivity, making insulin more efficient at moving sugar into cells."

There is data on cinnamon being a candidate for helping manage blood sugar levels based on a study by Medical News Today. This study was conducted to determine whether a daily supplement of cinnamon could help manage glucose levels by having participants categorized as either overweight or obese take a capsule worth 4 grams of cinnamon for 4 weeks. The study also divided this study with 2 groups of participants into a treatment group and a placebo group. The study utilizing continuous glucose monitoring, then showed that those who took cinnamon supplements had consistently lower glucose levels and that those levels peaked more than those on the placebo.
