The claim that Jimmy Kimmel responded to Elon Musk calling him a "propaganda puppet" is likely True. Although the source in the original post containing the claim, the Daily Mail, is often considered a tabloid and has a reliability score of 31.83 from Ad Fontes (where scores above 40 are generally good), we can find the same news being reported by other outlets. For instance, Los Angeles Times reporter Alexandra Del Rosario also wrote that "Jimmy Kimmel, dubbed an “insufferable nonsense propaganda puppet” by Elon Musk earlier this week, has fired back at the Tesla CEO." (https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/tv/story/2024-11-08/jimmy-kimmel-elon-musk-propaganda-puppet). The LA Times received a 42.47 score from Ad Fontes. Reporters from outlets also reported the same information, such as Variety and Rolling Stone

This fact check is great! I appreciate how you not only debunked the claim but also the website used as a source. It's also awesome that you used AD Fontes for the sources you used.

Absolutely true, and you don't need an article to prove it. Just watch the episode, which you can find on ABC.com for free.

Or if you want a clip of just Jimmy Kimmel responding to Elon Musk, you can watch a clip of it posted on the official Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube channel. Timeframe is 3:50-5:50.

From watching this, you can see that the Daily Mail's description of his comments are 100% accurate, including where he called Musk an "insufferable nonsense propaganda puppet" too and pulled up Donald Trump's Tweet about Elon Musk to the screen.

Jimmy Kimmel indeed responded to Elon Musk's comments of him being an "insufferable nonsense propaganda puppet" on X. Kimmel clapped back at the new X owner, saying "At least my children like me. The guy who paid people a million dollars a day to vote for Donald Trump is calling me a propaganda puppet. Listen, Kermit, you bought Twitter, you bought a social media platform that is literally a propaganda machine." Kimmel says that "insufferable nonsense propaganda puppet" is actually the best four word phrase to call Musk. He recited a Truth Social post where Trump criticizes Musk and jokes that they will be "great together."  I find it best to go directly to the source, which is the Kimmel's opening monologue that was posted to Youtube.
