Yes, firefighters are making progress on the fires occurring in Southern California.

The cause of the Mountain Fire, just outside of Ventura, CA, is currently still under investigation. As of tonight, November 10th, 2024, the fire is thirty-one percent contained, this is up from the twenty-six percent number reported earlier this morning.

There are still 20,630 acres currently burning, with 271 structures damaged and 1,437 completely destroyed. This fire has been absolutely devastating for Southern California, and has sparked a state of emergency by governor Gavin Newsom.

However, progress on the containment of the fire is being made.
