The article introduces you to the idea that people are increasingly choosing to be single and overlook a partner, including that they are happier and healthier. The article's first source of evidence incorporates a woman who has struggled to find a partner for a decade and writes a book about her journey. While compelling it is based on a biased assumption that most people prefer that lifestyle. Secondly, they use sources of evidence from the Pew Research Center claiming these two sources say large percentages of men and women are not looking for a partner. In doing a simple search of the two sources you can conclude that the claims are not only a stretch but they are simply not true. The Pew Research Center only supports the claims that dating has become increasingly hard and the number of single people is increasing. All are based on social problems such as the MeToo movement as well as other social aspects of men's and women's values in relationships. Lastly, they choose to bring up the isolation aspect of being in a relationship referring to a SageJournals article. However, the article advocates for both the networking aspects in single life and within long-term relationships. Other articles on this topic do not support this, and with little research, most of them are based on personal opinions.

I find this to be an opinion piece and one that is not possible to fact-check. Buzzfeed is not a reliable source; they give their opinions based on what they see from their friends, not real research studies. I also could not find anything else from a reliable source on the subject.

Although I agree on your claim that this type of information is bias I can offer my opinion this issue of dating in this modern society. I think one of the main reasons dating is dwindling in society is because of societal norms that have been made up in the past 10-20 years such as hookup culture or problems connecting with a partner. Nobody wants to waste time with a partner that isn't going to last especially because time is very precious these days and as well as money, it is inevitable that if you are going to make your partner happy, you are most likely going to spend a decent to a big amount of money on them. There seems to be an underlying issue with several themes such as accountability, effort, casual dating, etc. Men and women both have their claims to reasons on why relationships are such a struggle in this world.
