This is true. In the video provided by TMZ, Jojo Siwa admits that other "gay pop" artists have come before her, but she indicates that she aspires to distinctly define the genre of "gay pop."

"I definitely am not the inventor of gay pop, for sure not, but I do want to be a piece in making it bigger than it already is. I want to bring more attention to it," Siwa said.

Is there no other source besides TMZ? It's always best to find an additional source not listed in the claim itself.

The quotes are from a video interview by a TMZ reporter. The interview was also reported on by Billboard. The quotes were confirmed by them.

I think you should include an additional source, TMZ was the source provided in the claim, and you linked TMZ and BIllboard.com in your factcheck. I think to get a Thorough factcheck you need at least one more source.
