Despite prior comments about the poor quality of the channel, Musk has commented on buying MSNBC.

It is weird how he commented about how bad MSNBC is, and is now apparently considering buying it. He is most likely, as it says in the article, joking. It is also weird how it's even news since he's not seriously committing or anything, he's just posting Twitter memes.

Based on CNN's article, I conclude this claim is true, but it seems Elon Musk is simply trying to make a mockery of the news channel. CNN is known as a very reliable source and thorough in fact-checking. In this article, they explain that Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and Joe Rogan have all been tweeting back and forth to each other about the idea of buying MSNBC and how funny it would be. They seem to be doing this as a form of mockery, considering Musk's past comments about his hatred for the channel. But it's worth mentioning that Musk did the same thing as well before buying Twitter, now X. With his past actions and his wealth, it's possible for the purchase to be made, but Comcast has not made any mention of if MSNBC is being put up for sale.

Good point about Musk’s actions being hard to predict making this claim possibly true. However, calling CNN “very reliable” feels somewhat broad. In the past they have faced criticism for bias. Did CNN provide evidence that Elon Musk is serious about buying MSNBC?

This fact-check is reliable and I like how you supported your argument with a neutral tone by presenting both sides of the argument.
