America is home to a lot of doughnut lovers, and when National Doughnut Day rolls around the population lives up to that day.

I loved the Interesting take on the claim that Americans eat 10 billion doughnuts a year, and while the number does sound staggering, I’m curious about the method used to find that conclusion. Was this based on industry sales data or surveys, and it would be great to know if these statistics included homemade doughnuts or only store-bought ones. Clarifying certain aspects of the claim could strengthen this fact.

This is true. Americans consume over 10 billion donuts every year It turns out it's no secret that donuts are the most delicious indulgence, at least in the U.S.A. An average American eats at least 63 donuts every year. We think it goes without saying that Americans love donuts.

This claim is true. I was able to find multiple articles that confirm that Americans do eat about 10 billion donuts a year. When I first saw this claim I didn't believe it but with a simple Google search I could find a lot of information on this topic. I was also able to find some statistics regarding this claim.

While you do confirm the fact check and use evidence from another site to confirm the claim, I do think it would have been beneficial to discuss how these articles are getting this statistic. How do we know that these articles are not basing this claim off of falsified statistics and studies? I do think that you did a good job on providing insight into how easy it was finding information on the topic as it strengthens the claim and factcheck.
