The claim that Donald Trump was "good friends" with Jeffrey Epstein and was involved with him on Epstein's private island is misleading. While Trump and Epstein were acquaintances for many years, their relationship appears to have cooled after the early 2000s. Trump himself has stated that he was never a fan of Epstein, and their friendship ended around 2004, partly due to a falling out over a property deal in Palm Beach.

I would agree with you that this statement is exaggerated and misleading. However, Trump has certainly stated that he was a fan of Epstein on many occasions. For example, in his New York Magazine interview in 2002, Trump said: "I've known Jeff [Epstein] for 15 years. Terrific guy." Additionally, I would also say that your comment would be stronger if you included the sources you referred to for your fact-check.
