This is because they are a good source of unsaturated fats, fiber, and antioxidants. Avocado alone isn't a perfect solution, and can/should be eaten alongside other heart-healthy foods such as salmon or other fruits, but you can eat avocado a few times a week (or even everyday) to help prevent heart disease.
