It claims that UAP have been discovered in the ocean, cites the November 13th 2024 House Committee on Oversight and Accountability hearing on UAP (found here), the article states that they met to cover a report (found here) by the The Department Of Defense All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (abbreviated to AARO)
None of the UAP observed in this report were found in the ocean. “Of these reports, 708 occurred in the air domain, 49 occurred in the space domain, and none occurred in the maritime or transmedium domains”(pg 4)
Dr. Gallaudet claims in testimony from this hearing (found here) that UAP have been discovered in the ocean.(pg 3) He cites his 2024 paper (found here), in which he uses the ‘Tic Tac’ UAP, and a UAP sighting from the USS Omaha in 2019 as an example of transmedium UAP. Both are outside this AARO dataset, but have been included in previous ones, and are probably unresolved in explanation. (USS Omaha probably unresolved by AARO) (Tic Tac probably Unresolved by AARO) Dr. Gallaudet also claims in his testimony that “elements of the government are engaging in a disinformation campaign to include personal attacks designed to discredit UAP whistleblowers.“(pg 2), and cites this CBS article as his source. This claim isn’t supported by his source, and is likely conspiratorial.
The AARO maintains that it has found no evidence of extraterrestrial origin for any of it’s UAP sightings, so the claim that these UAP indicate alien life on earth relies on the conspiratorial idea that the AARO is withholding evidence that it's sightings are extraterrestrial in origin.
