Although there are many claims that say that pineapple and other fruit juices along with coffee corrupt COVID 19 test results, this claim is false. The acidity in these substances can disrupt antibodies on the test devices that could falsely appear positive. However, the COVID 19 tests are designed to detect specific markers of the virus, and therefore, food substances can't produce a false results unless the testing mechanism was compromised.
