In an article titled "Trump promises 'hell to pay' in Middle East if hostages are not released before he takes office". With Trump's constant "support" of Israel most just bat an eye to his blatant lies of supporting the one Democratic state in the Middle East. When in fact President Trump only supports Israel for his own gain in the polls and with his Pro-Christian voters. While this may be true one thing is most likely true that Trump will begin even more of a process to actually return the hostages back to their homes in Israel and the United States. Trump while not backing up all of his claims on the conflict, I believe will in fact make some sort of deal between Hamas and Israel. Time will only tell whether the former president backs up his major claims on some of the biggest conflicts in World History.

If you were referencing the NPR article, "Trump in news conference says 'all hell will break out' if Gaza hostages not released", there is no evidence of efforts made by Trump since it was before he took the White House. ABC has an article, "Trump threatened 'all hell' if Hamas didn't free all its hostages. What happened?", explaining that Hamas met a deadline of Feb. 15th by releasing a mear 3 hostages. This lead to more threats from Trump towards Hamas but a lack of any clear plan for the conflict.

Your clarification adds important context to the earlier post. While Trump did issue strong speech by as saying “all hell will break out” if hostages weren’t released it’s true that these statements came before he took office and lacked any concrete policy or action behind them at the time.

You bring up a valid point about the timing of Trump's comments and the lack of follow-up. The distinction between threats and actual action and/or policy is extremely important, especially in a sensitive topic such as this. It is helpful that you referenced both ABC and NPR.
