Do the USC dining halls provide students with adequate nutrition during their time living on campus? There are salad bars, vegetarian/vegan options, poultry items, and dairy products--all items needed for a balanced diet.

I would find this claim true. The university website states they offer EatWell meals designed to meet nutritional guidelines set by USC's registered dietitian, Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2020-2025, The Culinary Institute of America’s Menus of Change, and guidelines from other universities. The university recently opened a new dining hall focusing on wellness, accommodating diversified diets, and its first vegan food station. Additionally, they offer a Dietary guide for students to look into the nutrition of the dining halls' food.

This claim is true, assuming that this official USC website is truthful. On this website, you can see that all types of foods are provided to USC undergraduates, including proteins, vegetables, fruits, grains, dairy, etc. Not only do students have all the tools for a balanced diet, but USC has special meals that can be prepared that cover all five sections of the famous "food plate" (protein, grain, dairy, fruit, veggies.)

The Cleveland Clinic provided a study that showed that "about 85% of people believe their diets to be healthier than they actually are." It is true that many people do not fully understand how to diet, especially within the younger demographic that are attending college right now. I believe that there are certain dietary goalposts we should be striving for, and I believe that USC provides its students with the tools necessary to reach those goalposts.
