I agree with your claim and article you linked supports your statement. More information corroborating this information can be found in Reuters: https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/south-korean-lawmakers-call-impeach-president-yoon-after-martial-law-rescinded-2024-12-04/

The sources and claim you provide make it true as the article you linked details that South Korean lawmakers do want to impeach their president after he declared martial action. Similar claims can be found in this PBS article: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/south-koreas-opposition-parties-move-to-impeach-president-over-sudden-declaration-of-martial-law

Overall, this is a true and accurate statement.

It's good that you find a a second source to back up the claim, but you don't dive into the article to discuss it. You also could've compared what is said in the nbc article and the pbs article.

Really good start, excellent job finding a credible alternative source like PBS, however I would recommend discussing the article a bit more in detail.

True -- https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/06/asia/south-koreas-president-yoon-sun-yeol-intl-hnk/index.html

"South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol survived an impeachment vote Saturday over his brief declaration of martial law but his party say they will seek his resignation.

In another day of high drama, Yoon avoided being ousted from office after members of his party left parliament and boycotted the vote. Just two remained inside while the one governing lawmaker who returned voted against the motion."

This claim is true. The NBC article you used explicitly states that "The Democratic Party, which controls parliament, called Yoon's surprise power grab an 'unconstitutional and illegal declaration of martial law' as it formally submitted the articles of impeachment with the backing of five smaller opposition parties."

While NBC is a well-regarded and mostly reliable source, this same claim can also be found in this article by the Washington Post:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2024/12/03/south-korea-yoon-martial-law/

However, it is important to keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge what all Korean lawmakers think. A better claim would have been that lawmakers of Yoon's opposing party want him impeached.

Your line of reasoning is clear and concise. I appreciate that you included a second source that corroborates the accuracy of the claim, but also rationalize its impact in the last two sentences of your post. It's important to not generalize, and I think you did a great job by rewriting the a more precise headline/claim.
