While this statistic is true, we must make it known that significantly less people have actually been infected with bird flu when compared to Covid. According to this study, there have only been 889 people reported to have been infected with H5N1. While more than half of those infected did die, that number is statistically nothing compared to those who were infected with Covid during the pandemic. What is concerning is the recent outbreak but there really isn't enough information to claim that bird flu is more detrimental than covid 19.
